Riding The Dark Night

Life in a cage
Always the same rat race
Are there someone here I can trust?
Someone I can depend on

Lights up above
Lights filling the streets
Constructions of steel and concrete
The misty air feels perfect on my skin

Shoulder to shoulder we run
saying nothing doing nothing
One idiot´s gain is another poor guy’s loss
We are struggling in labyrints
trying to find a lifetime´s worth of something

The forest sorrounds us
I can´t see a thing
There should be a bridge up there
My friend there is salt water in your eyes

What If you laid your life in my hands
And I laid my life in my hands
Do you think things would be different?
Do you think anyone would care?

Shoulder to shoulder we run
saying nothing doing nothing
One idiot´s gain is another poor guy´s loss
We are struggling in labyrinths
trying to find a lifetime´s worth of something
There is nothing more to say
No words will bring us any further
I got nothing
I had nothing before
Just gonna take it all in
